First Mile’s OA2000 Platform Completed an Upgrade and Added New Members
Since 2007, FirstMile's OA2000 access transmission platform has won the bid for Hong Kong Telecom(HKT)for multiple times and has been successfully deployed and operating for more than ten years. The platform has recently completed an upgrade and added new line cards, 40G / 100G 3R Transponder and Fiber Protection, which have been passed customer’s test.

Extend 40G Connection up to 80 km
OA2204-QS is a 4-channel WDM transponder with an OEO-10G card, which can convert 10.3215Gbps Ethernet signals into a corresponding wavelength in CWDM and DWDM network infrastructures.
Except WDM transponder OEO repeater, we still need DWDM Mux/Demux and DWDM SFP+ to extend the distance to 80 km. DWDM Mux/Demux is to combine 4x10G signals of different wavelengths on one single fiber so that it’s the best solution to increase network capacity and save cost.




40G to 10G Fan-out application
The 40Gbps QSFP+ to 4x10Gbps SFP+ Transponder (or Convertor) converts four Lambdas 40Gbps Ethernet interface in to 4 single lambda 10Gbps Ethernet interfaces

Fiber Protection Solution
OA 2200-OP Series are able to provide fiber path redundancy. This solution includes monitoring capabilities for both the working and protected path fibers. In case of a fiber cut in the active path, traffic will be switched over to the protected path in less than 20ms. Monitoring is available through SNMP management.
